The importance of what we know

We can learn and know countless things, but how important is the majority of it? Which is more important; knowing the basics of day-to-day life, or God who is the basis of life from which everything else comes? Also, which is more important; what the world teaches us, or what God teaches us? Maybe we need to reevaluate our knowledge and allow ourselves to forget somethings so God can replace it with what He wants us to know! Praise God!
