How often do we come up with a plan or idea and; it doesn't turn out? Then we blame ourselves or others, right? Here's a thought; may, just maybe, it didn't fit in with God's plan. Without His grace what do we expect to happen? Changes our whole view on past events. Can we apply it to the future?
